We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "316 Stainless Steel", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Engineers help save on 5-axis machining costs from Matsuura Machinery, which we summarised at the time by saying "Machine tool supplier's applications engineers helped a subcontractor reduce aerospace component cycle times and tooling costs by identifying improvements to the cutting cycles". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Vertical machining centre saves the day from Dugard: "Special SS bar taps components, sourced outside the UK, did not meet quality standards so a UK machine shop, using a vertical machining centre, did the job properly".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Turck concerning its M8 miniature picoprox sensors - take a look at Sensors have 6mm range on ferrous, NF metals which says: "Miniature sensors to provide compact housings with sensing distances that far exceed ferrite core sensors, especially while sensing non-ferrous metals".

Take a look also at the news release from Hydramotion, On-line viscometer improves quality control, as well as CNC converts maintenance shop into factory from XYZ Machine Tools, and Hygienic cylinder resists wash-downs from Bosch Rexroth.
