We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Acoustic Emission Monitoring", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Predictive maintenance is a benefit, not an evil from AV Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Predictive maintenance should be seen as an integral part of plant management and, moreover, part of an all encompassing asset management function". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Acoustic emissions monitoring system from Corus Northern Engineering Services: "Acoustic emission monitoring equipment has a high sensitivity to machine faults but is also immune to audible noise and low frequency background vibration".

In October 2006, we covered the news from Corus Northern Engineering Services concerning its Accoustic monitoring system - take a look at Acoustic monitor saves 5 weeks' steel production which says: "An accoustic monitoring system detected early signs of distress and an automatic review of trends enabled the remaining bearing life in the tilting of basic oxygen steel converters to be predicted".

Take a look also at the news release from Accura, CNC cylindrical grinder improves product roundness, as well as Schmitt Europe appoints German distributor from Schmitt Europe, and Balancing systems maker names South German agent from Schmitt Europe.
