We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Hardness tester has space for bulky workpieces from Bowers Metrology UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hardness tester achieves consistent, accurate test results on bulky specimens in the harshest of industrial conditions and has user-friendly, menu-driven control system". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Zinc alloy coatings offer high performance from MacDermid: "A bulk production, non embritteling, high performance coating system for small components gives excellent sacrificial corrosion protection and protects against contact corrosion with aluminum alloys".

In October 2007, we covered the news from ASTM International concerning its Handbook of Comparative World Steel Standards - take a look at International steel standards compared which says: "The Handbook of Comparative World Steel Standards allows the user to identify comparable steels that are found in standards from around the world".

Take a look also at the news release from Knovel Corporation, ASTM publications distribution changed, as well as Plastics melt indexer is more accurate for QC from Zwick Roell, and Friction tester gets SS table option from Lloyd Instruments.
