We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Column Vertical Machining", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Five-axis machining centre has 150 deg tilt table from Cincinnati Machine, which we summarised at the time by saying "A 5-axis, 5-sided large capacity machining centre has spindle speeds up to 20,000 rev/min and can machine parts up to 400mm diameter and 300mm high with a tilt capability up to 150 deg". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Five axis machining of aerospace components from Dugard: "A Hedelius RS 125-K supplied by C Dugard to Oldland CNC Engineering, using five-axis technology, enables machining of larger aluminium and titanium aerospace components".

In March 2007, we covered the news from Dugard concerning its Travelling column vertical machining centre - take a look at Travelling column VMC is under GBP 90,000 which says: "A travelling column vertical machining centre (VMC) is a compact 'entry level' twin-table machine that accepts work up to 1800mm long or operates in 'pendelum' mode".

Take a look also at the news release from HK Technologies, High end precision machining centres agency, as well as Tong Tai CNC machine tools come to UK from Matchmaker M/C, and One pendelum VMC machines 3- and 5-axis cycles from Dugard.
