We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Coordinate Measuring Machine", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Laser trackers measure large components from Leica Geosystems AG, which we summarised at the time by saying "A USA-based a full service contract measurement company has added four laser tracking units for measuring large components of over 30m long". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Increasing aerospace manufacturing productivity from Applied PLM Solutions: "An investment in equipment and Dassault Systemes V5 3D technology increased CAV Aerospace productivity and and efficiency in design and manufacturing, reports Nick Lerner".

In August 2007, we covered the news from Hexagon Metrology Europe, Romer concerning its PowerINSPECT 4315 software upgrade - take a look at Portable coordinate measuring software upgraded which says: "Upgraded software for portable coordinate measuring machines has graphical user interface for training and easier use, and a color-coded scheme for points to be measured".

Take a look also at the news release from Hexagon Metrology, CMM checks telescope mirrors to under 1 micron, as well as HMC machines 'intelligent' transmission parts from Heller Machine Tools, and One non-contact unit checks mill and turn tools from Blum Novotest.
