We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "DNV (Det Norske Veritas)", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
 
Start with the news release DNV Certified Industrial Ethernet from Moxa Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "Many of Moxa's industrial Ethernet switches, media convertors, and serial-to-Ethernet servers have been certified by the DNV and GL classification societies". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Moxa has set sail for maritime markets from Moxa Technologies: "Moxa's Marine Theme Site Targets Maritime and Offshore Markets".
 
In September 2005, we covered the news from Moxa Technologies concerning its DNV Type Approval - take a look at Industrial ethernet for offshore and marine which says: "Ethernet switches and media converters from Moxa are well suited for use in adverse marine-type environments".
