We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Factory Automation", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Special machines build simplified from Misumi, which we summarised at the time by saying "At the UK's Machine Building Show, a company is introducing a system of standard shapes, used within industry standard machines, to simplify special machine construction". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release GE CNC units programmed directly onsite from Fanuc GE CNC UK: "With Manual Guide i, the current Fanuc GE CNC controllers can be directly programmed onsite in a simple manner - regardless of whether turning, milling or combining machining processes".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Yamazaki Mazak UK concerning its Erowa robotic pallet load/unload systems - take a look at Machining centres pallets loaded by robot which says: "In a system to automatically load/unload machining centres, a robot selects the pallet size to suit the job, so reducing the amount of space required for pallets in unmanned machining systems".

Take a look also at the news release from Fanuc GE CNC UK, CNCs chosen for reliability and spares service, as well as Energy buffer made for servo press machines from Fanuc GE CNC UK, and Variable speed pump drives save on energy from Bosch Rexroth.
