A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Thread turning insert halves costs from Vargus Tooling UK: "An innovative six-cutting corner system of a thread turning insert promises revolutionary gains in productivity as well as halving tooling costs, said the MACH 2008 exhibitor".
 
In January 2008, we covered the news from Matsuura Machinery concerning its Matsuura machining centres - take a look at Engineers help save on 5-axis machining costs which says: "Machine tool supplier's applications engineers helped a subcontractor reduce aerospace component cycle times and tooling costs by identifying improvements to the cutting cycles".
