We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Finishing Operations", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Multihead machines polish many flat parts from Surtech Surface Technology Products, which we summarised at the time by saying "For polishing large amounts of flat parts such as sheet, strip, extrusions and hollow sections, a multihead machine can comfortably manage the surface area that requires polishing". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Milling cutters reduce cycle time from Kennametal UK: "Rough milling cutters for machining steels and SS cut cycle time/workpiece by one-third, said a manufacturer, which has also introduced a new supernitride PVD coating for insert tooling".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Sandvik Coromant UK concerning its CoroTurn TR - take a look at Ensuring that indexable inserts are fixed which says: "How is it possible to make sure that indexable inserts remain fixed exactly in their position - use a precision interface between the insert and tool holder, said a tooling manufacturer".

Take a look also at the news release from TaeguTec UK, Tooling update raised machined track parts output, as well as Latest tooling fends off moulds competition from ITC Tooling, and Self-clinch sheet metal fastener press installed from Northern Precision.
