Start with the news release Makino machining centres cut titanium faster from NCMT, which we summarised at the time by saying "Japanese machine-tool builder Makino has introduced the Makino T4 and T2 five-axis, high power, horizontal machining centres for machining components from titanium and its alloys.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Brewery machine uses Visionpro guidance system from Cognex - automation: "A machine at the Grolsch brewery in the Netherlands relies on Cognex Visionpro, which guides the grippers that are programmed to rotate and align the bottles so that they have optimum visibility.".
 
In July 2009, we covered the news from IFM Electronic - take a look at OP sensors precisely detect parts which says: "IFM Electronic has introduced the OP range of photoelectric sensors for precise detection of parts feed or belt edge.".
