Start with the news release Engine powered forklift is safest yet from Toyota Material Handling UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "Engine powered forklift truck is claimed to be the safest in the world owing to it having an active stability system, operator presence sensing and improved operator visibility". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release AC powered forklift trucks improve traction from HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES EUROPE: "AC drive system on battery-powered forklift trucks offers improved traction, gradability (up to nearly 30%), and controllability, on the ramp and during braking".
