Start with the news release Dedicated VIPER grinding centre is 10% faster from NCMT, which we summarised at the time by saying "For creep feed grinding of nickel alloy components in the 'VIPER' process, a purpose dedicated 7-axis machining centre is 10% quicker than the original modified horizontal machining centre". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Latest CNC to be shown in precision machining from Hardinge Machine Tools: "As well as showing its latest milling machines, CNC lathes and turning centres and workholding producs, Hardinge will demonstrate Heidenhain's iTNC 620 CNC in pecision machining action at EMO".

In April 2007, we covered the news from Emag UK concerning its VG 110 vertical pick-up spindle grinding/turning - take a look at Vertical production grinding centre hard turns which says: "For the production machining of small chucked components of 2-60mm diameter, a vertical pick-up spindle grinding centre performs ID/OD/eccentric grinding and hard turning".

Take a look also at the news release from Webster and Bennett International, Vertical turning lathes can be customised, as well as Siemens spends on grinding wheels and dressers from Tyrolit, and Compact grinding centre drills and mills too from Koerber Schleifring UK.
