We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Guard Doors", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Teach-in control simplifies lathe operation from HK Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "A teach-in control system for electronic lathes brings simplicity and ease of programming and/or operation in combination with high-performance operating software". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Hinge-operated safety interlock switches from Omron Scientific Technologies: "Two hinge-operated safety interlock switches, ideally suited for use on smaller guard doors, are now available from Omron Scientific Technologies".

In July 2006, we covered the news from Schmersal UK concerning its Non-contact guard-door monitoring sensor - take a look at Guard door sensor is non-contact which says: "A compact, coded non-contact guard-door monitoring sensor is seen as an alternative to electro-mechanical safety switches for monitoring the position of the safety guards".

Take a look also at the news release from Colchester-Harrison, CNC lathes' controls have enhanced simulation, as well as 3D graphics raise CNC turning confidence from Colchester-Harrison, and Safety switch aids machine downsizing from Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley Guardmaster ).
