We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Heat Treated", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release VMC mini mill does more than drill and tap from Matchmaker M/C, which we summarised at the time by saying "While many machines on the market described as 'mini mills' are just mill/tap centres, a subcontractor says that its 'mini-mill' is a powerful three axis vertical machining centre". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Heavy HMCs machine space telescope mirrors from Mitsui Seiki: "Custom-built horizontal machining centers are machining the James Webb Space Telescope mirror segments positioning them within a few microns anywhere in a machining envelope".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Pratt Burnerd International concerning its Bespoke and standard live and dead centres - take a look at Live and dead centres support large parts which says: "For turning, boring or grinding large rotational pats, a seies of live and dead centres an be selected according to machine rev/min, machine type and accuracy considerations".

Take a look also at the news release from 600 Centre, Horizontal machining center machines optics, as well as High performance plastics work under the hood from DSM Engineering Plastics, and Laser melting used to make metal cores for moulds from MCP Tooling Technologies.
