‘Heat Treated’

A Manufacturingtalk guide

Start with the news release Roemheld vices eliminate distortion problems from Roemheld, which we summarised at the time by saying "Subcontractor Smithstown Light Engineering has invested in fixe-axis workholding vices from Roemheld to drive down material costs and eliminate distortion when machining off waste.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Muffle ovens are capable of temperatures to 760C from Lucifer Furnaces: "Lucifer Furnaces has shipped two dual-chamber atmosphere muffle ovens to a customer for the purpose of heat-treating superconducting wire used in medical, pharmaceutical and industrial applications.".

In March 2010, we covered the news from Flir Systems - take a look at Meterlink wirelessly connects meters to cameras which says: "Extech has launched Meterlink, a wireless connection that allows meters to communicate with cameras. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Emerson Process Management, Plantweb technology reduces fuel costs at plant, as well as ES introduces fibre-coupled diode-laser module from ES Technology, and Nexact piezo stepping drives provide forces of 10N from Physik Instrumente.
