Start with the news release Makino machining centres cut titanium faster from NCMT, which we summarised at the time by saying "Japanese machine-tool builder Makino has introduced the Makino T4 and T2 five-axis, high power, horizontal machining centres for machining components from titanium and its alloys.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Test point beads support circuit-board components from William Hughes: "William Hughes has brought out test point beads for design and development engineers working on prototypes or small-quantity printed circuit-board production. ".
 
In July 2009, we covered the news from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques - take a look at HFT unveils Argweld inflatable weld purge systems which says: "Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT), a UK manufacturer of weld purge ancillaries, can now provide heat-resistant inflatable pipe purge systems to weld at temperatures of up to 300C.".
