We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "IGES", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release CADCAM software offers improved ease of use from Delcam, which we summarised at the time by saying "Latest version of award-winning CAD/CAM software offers improved ease of use, faster and more robust operation, and better interoperability with other software". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Measurement machine switches between sensors from OGP UK: "Measuring machine provides full 4-axis part measurement using a combination of video, touch probe, micro-probe and optional laser independently in the same set-up".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Fanuc GE CNC UK concerning its 3D interference check function - take a look at 3D CNC collision check function improved which says: "Fanuc GE has developed a 3D interference check function, which helps prevent machine collisions for the Series 30i/31i model A CNC controllers and a data exchange is possible with CAD systems".

Take a look also at the news release from UBECO, Roll form design software creates 3D models, as well as Special academic simulation bundles from Applied Computing and Engineering, and Experiment on CAD data through the project from Delcam.
