Start with the news release IEC standard accepts a control network protocol from Yokogawa Europe - Industrial Automation, which we summarised at the time by saying "The International Electrotechnical Commission has accepted a control network protocol for process automation as a part of international standard IEC 61784-2 Ed.1.0". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Ethernet migrates into automation I/O level from ARC Advisory Group: "The worldwide market for Ethernet-based devices and I/O is expected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 27.5% over the next five years".
 
In January 2008, we covered the news from Cincinnati Machine - take a look at Machine tool builder expands in E Europe which says: "Machine tool builder, MAG Industrial Automation Systems, now controls the ThyssenKrupp Technologies production plant in Kecskemet, now known as MAG Hungary".
