Start with the news release Easy-to-use ion trap mass spectrometer from Thermo Fisher Scientific (Mass Spectrometry), which we summarised at the time by saying "Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced an easy-to-use LCQ Fleet ion trap mass spectrometer for general analysis, toxicological screening and natural products characterisation etc". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Over 50% increase in year on year earnings for NI from National Instruments: "National Instruments reports revenue for first quarter of 2007".
 
In May 2007, we covered the news from National Instruments - take a look at Instruments company reports 11% Q1 revenue rise which says: "Instruments company, National Instruments, has reported an 11% rise of quarterly revenue to US$172 million, when compared with the first quarter of 2006".
