Start with the news release Servo drives are intelligent, compact, dynamic from Control Techniques, which we summarised at the time by saying "For the general machinery market, a range of servo drives is offering unprecedented connectivity, feedback options, intelligence and functionality". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Safety position switches enhance protection from Moeller Electric: "Safety position switches offer a simple, efficient and cost-effective way of achieving enhanced protection for personnel and processes".
 
In December 2007, we covered the news from Rodriguez (UK) concerning its Framo Morat 'Compacta' slip-on geared motor - take a look at Slip-on geared motor saves space which says: "Designed for repeatable positioning and reversing tasks, a slip-on geared motor provides 22 output speed options and offers a wide range of power and duty cycles".
