We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Laser Scanning", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Laser trackers measure large components from Leica Geosystems AG, which we summarised at the time by saying "A USA-based a full service contract measurement company has added four laser tracking units for measuring large components of over 30m long". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Coordinate measuring arm uses laser scanning from Metris: "A 7-axis manual coordinate measuring arm offers a complete inspection and reverse engineering solution that can be used just as easily in the metrology laboratory as on the shop floor".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Faro UK concerning its Laser ScanArm V3 - take a look at Portable laser scanning arm accuracy raised which says: "Portable laser scanning arm offers 30% more accuracy from a 33% lighter weight system, which also has better performance in scanning dark or reflective surfaces".

Take a look also at the news release from Metris, Manual coordinate measuring arm is lightweight, as well as Measuring arm is highly accurate from Metris, and Extensive CMM range rebranded from Metris.
