We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Laser Sintering", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Laser metal sintering produces tooling, inserts from EOS Electro Optical Systems (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "USA manufacturer is to use direct metal laser sintering to produce tooling inserts, prototype parts, and end products directly in metal, to evaluate prototype products more quickly". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Laser sinter tool steel inserts from EOS Electro Optical Systems (UK): "A martensite-hardening steel of high strength and toughness is suited to producing heavy-duty tooling inserts using laser sintering and is claimed to equal or better conventional tool steels".

In November 2007, we covered the news from 3D Systems concerning its 3D Systems at EuroMold 2007 - take a look at 3D rapid prototyping/manufacturing systems shown which says: "Latest developments in 3D modelling, rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing to be shown at Euromold 2007 include lase sintering of short production run plastics parts".

Take a look also at the news release from EOS Electro Optical Systems, Laser sintering makes lightweight robot grippers, as well as Rapid prototyping firm gains ISO 9001:2000 from 3T RPD, and UK rapid prototyping firm offers metals parts from 3T RPD.
