We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Machine Control", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Milling insert overcomes ball nose problems from LMT Fette, which we summarised at the time by saying "Milling insert overcomes problems associated with ball nose copying style inserts where zero cutting speed at the centre causes error of form and premature failure of the insert". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release CNC platform has user-programmable MMI from NUM (UK): "CNC platform has advanced scalability, an open user-programmable man-machine interface and software covering tool grinding, gear and high speed cutting and transfer and special machines".

In February 2008, we covered the news from Star Micronics GB concerning its ECAS-20T mill-turn automatic at MACH 2008 - take a look at Sliding headstock automatic has three turrets which says: "A sliding headstock CNC mill-turn automatic lathe, with three turrets, can dramatically reducing cycle times for 'one-hit' machining of complex components up to 20mm diameter".

Take a look also at the news release from Aerotech, Low profile rotary stage offers high speed, as well as Control technology raises tube bending versatility from Baldor UK, and Greaser for linear guides and bearings is compact from SKF UK.
