Start with the news release Machinery builders move more towards PLM from UGS, which we summarised at the time by saying "Product lifetime management software provider reported that almost 15% of its customers now operate in the machinery industry, a percentage that is expected to increase". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Global sheet/coil steel prices decline from MEPS (International): "Two recent MEPS International steel reports focus on declining steel sheet and coil prices, while North American long product prices are fairly static for now".
 
In June 2007, we covered the news from Manufacturing Technologies Association - take a look at UK machine tool orders rise continues which says: "Order intake for UK-based machine tools and manufacturing equipment remained strong during the first quarter of 2007 and were expected to rise during the second quarter".
