We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Machining Cast Iron",
and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest.
Let me be your guide.
Start with
the news release Parting and grooving steels, SS, HRSA and CI from
Sandvik Coromant UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "Insert grade is claimed to give excellent performance in the parting-off and grooving as well as turning and profiling of steel, stainless steel, HRSA and cast iron components".
A few weeks before,
we featured the news release Tangential cutter mills corners and faces from
Mapal: "For universal use, a tangential milling cutter can be used with just one basic tool body for corner or face milling operations in aluminium or cast iron".
In August 2007, we covered the news from Sandvik Coromant UK
concerning its GC1125 grade parting, grooving, turning, profiling
- take a look at Insert grade improves parting and grooving
which says: "A multi-layered metal cutting insert is achieving improved performance in parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations in a wide geometry range".
Take a look also at the news release from Alfing Kessler Sondermaschinen, Multi-spindle 5-axis machining centre,
as well as Inserts provide 75% more components per edge from Walter GB,
and Indexable inserts cover iron and steel machining from Walter GB.
