We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Machining Strategies", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release CAM offers a wide range of machining strategies from Open Mind Technologies UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "NC programs that are generated within CAM systems are designed to avoid collisions between the tools and the workpieces". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Micro-machining centre simplifies mould making from Deckel Grinders: "The accuracy of a 5-axis micro-machining centre is simplifying the production of injection mould tools used for producing microfluidic devices".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Delcam concerning its CAD/CAM software - take a look at Machining software speeds cylinder heads which says: "At the UK's Autosport Engineering 2008 event, a CAD/CAM provider will tell how a set of cylinder head ports can be machined, tested and installed, from a prototype, within one to two days".

Take a look also at the news release from Delcam, 5-axis CAM has fast calculation times, as well as Casting firm's CAM use speeds development from Delcam, and CAM software covers high speed machining from SolidCAM (CADTECH).
