We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Manufacturing Lead Times", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Upgrade 2D CAD modelling to 3D for GBP 1,500 from Alphacam, which we summarised at the time by saying "Part modelling and CAD software provide a low cost, protected upgrade route for companies looking to migrate from 2D to 3D solid modelling - at a 'launch' price of GBP 15,000 at EMO". A few weeks before, we featured the news release CAD/CAM choice improves machine tool links from Sescoi International: "Helicopter maker's skills centre is using CAD/CAM that gives a close link between the software and the machine tool and a reliable toolpath with clear collision control and display capabilities".

In February 2007, we covered the news from Pathtrace Engineering Systems - take a look at Latest EdgeCAM exhibited at SolidWorks 2007 which says: "Pathtrace has announced that it will demonstrate the latest release of EdgeCAM at the SolidWorks World 2007 Conference, being held from February 4th - 7th, 2007 in New Orleans".

Take a look also at the news release from Hanovia, UV lamps benefit from lean manufacturing, as well as 'Common sense' raises manufacturing efficiency from Renishaw, and Reliability in management and production control from Jobshop.
