Start with the news release Laser trackers measure large components from Leica Geosystems AG, which we summarised at the time by saying "A USA-based a full service contract measurement company has added four laser tracking units for measuring large components of over 30m long". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Cartridge valve permits high-density fitting from Moog Controls: "The cartridge design permits high-density fitting for applications where multiple valves are required to be mounted on a single manifold or in industries where weight and space are at a premium".
 
In November 2007, we covered the news from Nikon UK concerning its INEXIV VMA-2520 video measuring system - take a look at Touch probe added to non-contact measurement which says: "Adding a touch probe for 3D contact measurement to non-contact optical and laser measurement makes this system a truly compact multi sensor machine, said its supplier".
