‘Mould Tool’

A Manufacturingtalk guide

Start with the news release SV-1000 increases two-stroke engines' power output from Sunnen Products Company, which we summarised at the time by saying "Sunnen has introduced the SV-1000 vertical CNC honing machine, which allows manufacturers of outdoor power equipment to improve the durability and power output of small two-stroke engines.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Makino machining centres cut titanium faster from NCMT: "Japanese machine-tool builder Makino has introduced the Makino T4 and T2 five-axis, high power, horizontal machining centres for machining components from titanium and its alloys.".

In July 2009, we covered the news from Allied Maxcut Engineering Co - take a look at Insert drills raise fabricator's throughput which says: "By using AMEC's T-A holders with TiAlN and TiN inserts a steel fabricator has improved manufacturing throughput by 25% and has increased tool life by a factor of 10 over the original tooling.".

Take a look also at the news release from Cognex - automation, Brewery machine uses Visionpro guidance system, as well as ITC aluminium milling cutter quickly clears swarf from ITC Tooling, and Vetafab launches upgraded Lexican software from vetafab Software GmbH.
