Start with the news release Are your acoustic measurements fit for purpose? from Institute of Acoustics, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Institute of Acoustics are hosting one-day meeting entitled 'Are your acoustic measurements fit for purpose?' on the 11th of July at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, Middlesex". A few weeks before, we featured the news release EMF radiation safety calibration service from National Physical Laboratory: "The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) has launched a calibration service to help UK businesses comply with the EMF radiation safety directive".
 
In October 2006, we covered the news from Zwick Testing Machines concerning its Indentec testers - take a look at Hardness testing for repair of jet engines which says: "GE Aircraft Engine Services, based in Cardiff, South Wales, part of the GE Avionics Group, is amongst the world leaders in the overhauling and repair of aeroplane jet engines".
