Start with the news release Vertical machining centres aid subcontractor from Dugard, which we summarised at the time by saying "Recent purchases by Verulam Engineering have included a Dugard Eagle 10 lathe, a Dugard Eagle 1000 VMC with Heidenhain iTNC 530 control and fourth axis and a Dugard Eagle 450 XP VMC". A few weeks before, we featured the news release 5m wide plate mill stand machined, assembled from DavyMarkham: "UK-based heavy machining and fabricating company is poducing a 1050 tonnes, 5m wide plate rolling stand for an Indian steel plant - to be machined and test assembled before shipping".
 
In June 2007, we covered the news from 3DX-Ray concerning its X-ray inspection system - take a look at 3D and 2D X-ray inspection system for conveyors which says: "The AXIS-3D stand-alone 3D and 2D X-ray conveyor inspection system can be used for either automatic or manual inspection and provides an unparalleled imaging capability".
