Start with the news release Non-contact level measurement at 150C from Burkert Fluid Control Systems, which we summarised at the time by saying "Burkert has expanded both the range and media types that can be measured using non-contact radar technology, with the introduction of the Type 8136, 8137 and 8138 modular radar transmitters.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release ES1 stainless steel resists corrosion and fatigue from NSK UK: "NSK has developed ES1 stainless steel for use in high-humidity chemical and hygienic environments, where corrosion can impair the reliable long-term operating life of rolling bearings.".
 
In January 2010, we covered the news from LVD - take a look at Ford buys CO2 laser cutter for processing parts which says: "Ford Component Manufacturing has purchased an LVD Orion 3015 CO2 laser cutting system with a 2.5kW laser source for processing components.".
 
Take a look also at the news release from Leader CNC, Leader CNC distributes Unamuno turning centres, as well as Leuze MLDs feature lasers for perimeter guarding from Leuze Electronic, and Schaeffler throttle-valve bearings for Dakar Rally from Schaeffler.
