We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Production Engineering", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release GBP 8 million invested in 5-axis milling from DMG (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "UK subcontactor has invested over GBP 8 million in advanced machining over the last three years including five-sides, 5-axis milling and multi-axis mill/turn centres". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Machining centres produce hydraulic parts families from Yamazaki Mazak UK: "A manufacturer's on-going development in hydraulic pumps and motors is paralleled by the installation of multi-tasking machining centres for small and medium batch production".

In September 2007, we covered the news from Seiki Systems concerning its IMES scheduling system - take a look at Manual shopfloor progress chasing computerised which says: "Hydraulics manufacturer relates how it used to take 30 min to progress chase a job - until a scheduling system was introduced and integrated with existing MRP and networkd manufacturing system".

Take a look also at the news release from Fastening Solutions, UK fastener show includes adhesives, assembly, as well as HMC machines 'intelligent' transmission parts from Heller Machine Tools, and Heavy tractor+trailer built in CFRP from VDW.
