We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Programmable Controllers", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
 
Start with the news release Data logging and reporting from Schneider from Schneider Electric, which we summarised at the time by saying "Schneider Electric has released Vijeo Citect SCADA, one of the first fruits of Schneider Electric's purchase of Citect in 2006". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Guide to programmable controllers from ISA (Instrumentation, Systems and Aut Soc): "New edition of Programmable Controllers discusses all phases of programmable controller applications from systems design and programming to installation, maintenance, and startup".
