We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Programmable Logic Controllers", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Data communication interface introduced from Yokogawa Europe - Industrial Automation, which we summarised at the time by saying "A compatible communication interface for industrial recorders and data acquisition equipment eliminates the need for dedicated software to connect with other devices". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Measurement and control tasks balanced from National Instruments: "Latest version of a graphical system design platform for test, control and embedded system development significantly reduces the programming complexity of multicore and FPGA architectures".

In July 2007, we covered the news from Apriso concerning its FlexNet 9.4 Operations Execution System sofftware - take a look at OES software integrates with PLC, PLM and ERP which says: "Updated SOA/BPM functionality of FlexNet 9.4, features better performance, enhanced user-interface and wider integration with PLC, PLM and ERP to support real-time operations monitoring".

Take a look also at the news release from Ringdale, PLCs for automation and control, as well as Innovation in RFID integration from Comtrol Corporation, and Cable and bus systems on show at InterKama from Belden CDT (cables).
