Start with the news release An Ethernet/IP-DeviceNet router introduced from Omron Scientific Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "An Ethernet/IP-DeviceNet Router allows the operating condition of a DeviceNet safety system to be configured and monitored from a general-purpose Ethernet device". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Guard interlocks minimise defeat possibilities from Pilz Automation Technology: "Research into the reasons why operators try to defeat interlocks has shown that the need to defeat safety systems stems from shortcomings in the design of the machine".

In August 2007, we covered the news from Pilz Automation Technology concerning its Safety system control products - packaging - take a look at Safety products control packaging safety which says: "A range of safety system control products - from safety relaysto a multi function modular controller - are available for builders of packaging machinery".

Take a look also at the news release from LVD (UK), Laser cutting product line enhanced, as well as Module connects multiple safety controllers from Pilz Automation Technology, and Software performs machinery safety calculations from Pilz Automation Technology.
