Start with the news release Manufacturing show supports knowledge sharing from Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show, which we summarised at the time by saying "The forthcoming UK annual Southern Manufacturing Show offers a free seminar programme that provides an accessible focal point of enginering/manufacturing knowledge sharing". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Lean manufacturing boosts turbocharger output from Doncasters Group: "A manufacturer of turbocharger wheels reports that lean manufacturing initiatives have improved efficiency and working conditions as well as the business' environmental footprint".
 
In December 2007, we covered the news from NC Engineering concerning its Citizen L20-VIII I CNC sliding head lathe - take a look at Sliding head automatics quell CNC 'fear' which says: "If anyone has any 'fear' of using CNC machines, this subcontractor's experiences with CNC sliding had automatic lathes , show how that fear was lost and more profits were gained".
