We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Solvent Cleaning", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Using trichloroethylene safely for metals from SAFECHEM Europe, which we summarised at the time by saying "Three European Trichloroethylene producers have signed a product stewardship charter aimed at ensuring the safe and sustainable use of trichloroethylene in metal cleaning". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Sealed degreaser handles 4 ton charges from IB Industries: "UK heat treatment business claims to be the first to respond to environmental legislation by installing a hermetically sealed solvent degreasing system taking a 4 ton charge weight".

In October 2007, we covered the news from QSCD concerning its Q-clean 702 - take a look at Solvent cleaning fluid is non-hazardous which says: "Yesterday - October 30 - was the Solvent Emissions Directive's deadline when users of chlorinated solvents have to conform or use non-hazaardous solvents".

Take a look also at the news release from Kumi Solutions, Solvent degreasing machine to satisfy SER, as well as n.propyl bromide acceptable cleaning solvent in US from Enviro Tech Europe, and Sealed cleaning systems use chlorinated solvents from IB Industries.
