We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Special Purpose Machine", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Drilling bowls for a good grip from Bespoke Machines, which we summarised at the time by saying "Perhaps one would not readily associate machine tools with bowling, but a special machine has been supplied to drill dimples or grips on the crown green type of bowls". A few weeks before, we featured the news release CNC machine drills, fettles wing assemblies from AMTRI: "A 5+2-axis CNC machine, travelling on a 60m track, automatically drills and fettles leading and trailing edge assemblies for miltary transport aircraft wings in a single cost-saving set-up".

In April 2007, we covered the news from Industrial Gas Springs - take a look at Scottish firm to distribute gas springs which says: "Midland Engineering Services has been appointed as the official distributor for comprehensive range of gas springs, dampers, locking and tension gas springs made by Industrial Gas Springs".

Take a look also at the news release from HepcoMotion, Linear motion system automates bonding, as well as Conveyor maximizes usable belt width from Automation Supplies, and Conveyor maximizes usable belt width. from Automation Supplies.
