We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Subcontractors", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Engineers help save on 5-axis machining costs from Matsuura Machinery, which we summarised at the time by saying "Machine tool supplier's applications engineers helped a subcontractor reduce aerospace component cycle times and tooling costs by identifying improvements to the cutting cycles". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release CAM for milling and turning demonstrated from DP Technology: "Recent CAM software release for milling and turning includes turning stock automation for lathes, EDM machine specific machining technology and improved 3D machining performance".

In January 2008, we covered the news from PSL DataTrack concerning its Estimating costs calculation guide - take a look at Free guide aids estimating costs calculation which says: "For those involved in batch production or prototyping, a free guide features an easy-to-use table for costs and times, along with helpful hints and a 'dos and don'ts' section".

Take a look also at the news release from Kingsbury Machine Tools, CNC multi-spindle automatic is affordable, as well as UK demand for CNC sliding head autos rises from NC Engineering, and Calibrator checks pyrometry instrumentation from Beamex.
