We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Tapping", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release CNC punching, laser cutting, bending demonstrated from Trumpf, which we summarised at the time by saying "The automation of sheet metal working processes, including CNC punching, CNC laser cutting and CNC press brakes will be emphasised for MACH 2008 visitors". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Metal cutting tools go on display at MACH 2008 from Walter GB: "On show at MACH 2008 for the first time in the UK will be indexable cutting tools for turning, milling, drilling, boring and reaming, solid carbide and high-speed steel drills, taps and end mills".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Heidenhain (GB) concerning its Heidenhain LS 486C encoders at General Optics - take a look at Encoders upgrade vertical machining centre which says: "After fitting linear encoders to a VMC, an equivalent machining test confirmed that the 3 micron inaccuracy previously experienced when machining beryllium had reduced to zero in the X-axis".

Take a look also at the news release from Walter GB, Solid carbide tools tap short-chipping castings, as well as Fastener antidumping could up prices considerably from British Association of Fastener Distributors, and Vertical machining centre adds 4-axis capability from Ward CNC Machinery.
