Start with the news release Trumpf's machinery sales buck downturn from Trumpf, which we summarised at the time by saying "Customers are continuing to invest in machinery from Trumpf that minimises part costs and maximises their quality.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Makino machining centres cut titanium faster from NCMT: "Japanese machine-tool builder Makino has introduced the Makino T4 and T2 five-axis, high power, horizontal machining centres for machining components from titanium and its alloys.".
 
In July 2009, we covered the news from Machine Building Systems - take a look at MBS offers tabletop fastening sets from Item which says: "A speedy method for securing chipboard or timber tops onto workbench frames made of Line-8 aluminium profiles from Item is now available from Machine Building Systems (MBS).".
