We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Thread Rolling", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release UK subcontractors order 20 CNC sliding head autos from Star Micronics GB, which we summarised at the time by saying "During February and March, Star Micronics GB took orders from contract machinists for 20 of its CNC sliding-headstock mill/turn centres, signalling strong UK market conditions". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Sliding headstock automatic halves cycle times from Star Micronics GB: "Sliding-headstock mill/turn autoamtic lathe is so fast, it can OD-turn, drill the front end, part off and drill the back end of a component in 5s, a job that took 10s a few years ago".

In February 2006, we covered the news from Colchester-Harrison concerning its Tornado CNC turning centres, lathes - take a look at Subcontractor adds CNC turning to up capacity which says: "When a Welsh subcontract machining company wants to extend capacity, it invests in the latest CNC turning centres, lathes and feeding equipment rather than expand working hours or add shifts".

Take a look also at the news release from NC Engineering, Sliding head autos improve cutters productivity, as well as Tooling and fixturing specialist joins up from Manufacturing Technologies Association, and Neat oil has thermal and oxidation stability from Castrol UK.
