‘Tool Changer’

A Manufacturingtalk guide

Start with the news release Dormer introduces Elect and Spectrum tool classes from Dormer Tools, which we summarised at the time by saying "Dormer is to group its high-performance drilling, milling and threading ranges into two productivity classes - Elect and Spectrum - to enable quick customer identification of the optimum tool.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Toolholder ideal for milling and finishing tasks from Schunk Intec: "Schunk has launched the Tendo-E Compact designed for tool-holding tasks in high-volume machining applications such as rough milling, finish machining, drilling and reaming.".

In September 2010, we covered the news from Kuka Automation and Robotics - take a look at Kuka launches energy-efficient range of robots which says: "Kuka, which develops industrial robots and components for factory automation applications, has launched the Quantec range of robots, which are said to be light, fast and energy efficient.".

Take a look also at the news release from Geometric, Edrawings software now includes support for NX 7.5, as well as Sandvik insert grade optimises production at Metax from Sandvik Coromant, and Balancer and AE monitor target grinding industry from Schmitt.
