We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Tool Control", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Measuring probes set tools, measure parts from NCMT, which we summarised at the time by saying "CNC machine tool manually operated measuring probes will be introduced for tool length setting, datuming and component measurement at MACH 2008". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release CNC platform has user-programmable MMI from NUM (UK): "CNC platform has advanced scalability, an open user-programmable man-machine interface and software covering tool grinding, gear and high speed cutting and transfer and special machines".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Renishaw concerning its Pocket guide for machine tool probes - take a look at Machine tool probes pocket guide published which says: "A pocket guide for machine tool probes includes tool recognition system and high accuracy touch probes and details the latest hardware and software to maximise probing benefits".

Take a look also at the news release from Delcam, Woodworking/engraving CAD/CAM production, as well as Tooling storage controlled intelligently from Zeroshift, and Mould machining software reduces cycle times from DP Technology.
