We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Tool Setting Probe", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Infrared probe sets machine tooling/checks jobs from Marposs, which we summarised at the time by saying "One optical receiver is able to manage tool setting and up to four optical transmission part inspection spindle probes in the same machine tool". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Non-contact tool setting system introduced from Blum Novotest: "German metrology manufacturer will show a non-contact tool setting system, touch probes, tool length setting probe and software for in-process workpiece measurement at a UK GTMA event".

In July 2007, we covered the news from Renishaw concerning its Machine tool setting, probing - take a look at Machine tool setting, probing are cableless which says: "By using an aoptical receiver in a tool setting probe and a touch probe mounted on the machine tool's spindle, the operations can be carried out without awkward cables".

Take a look also at the news release from Renishaw, Cableless tool setting for machine tools, as well as Integrated turn/mill centre for single hit cycles from Dugard, and Turn/mill centre machines 65mm bar stock from Dugard.
