Start with the news release Amtek uses Tooling Trust grant to upgrade skills from The Tooling Trust, which we summarised at the time by saying "Amtek Precision, a mould toolmaker for high volume, multi-cavity plastic injection, has used a grant from the Tooling Trust to upgrade the skills of CADCAM engineer Dan Grant.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Workholding tools incorporate VX CAD/CAM from VX Corporation: "In today's world of CNC milling machines, producing custom-machined parts should be fast and easy, but this is not always the case, according to Ron Bemis, product engineer for Modern Industries. ".

In December 2008, we covered the news from Sescoi International - take a look at WorkNC 3X features two- and three-axis toolpaths which says: "Sescoi has announced the launch of WorkNC 3X, a fast-track solution to 2D and three-axis machining designed for rapid deployment.".
