We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Toolmaking", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Manufacturingtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Designing and manufacturing mould tools from Smithers Rapra, which we summarised at the time by saying "'The Mould Design Guide' provides an in-depth guide to the design and manufacture of moulding tooling and highlights design practice that allows production to make an acceptable profit". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Laser metal sintering produces tooling, inserts from EOS Electro Optical Systems (UK): "USA manufacturer is to use direct metal laser sintering to produce tooling inserts, prototype parts, and end products directly in metal, to evaluate prototype products more quickly".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Haas Automation concerning its Vertical machining centres at Midas Pattern - take a look at Vertical machining centres cut patterns which says: "Producer of low volume reaction injection moulded parts and polyurethane castings uses five vertical machining centres to cut master pattern equipment from polyurethane tooling board".

Take a look also at the news release from Delcam, CAD/CAM provider adds mill-turn centre, as well as Southern UK manufacturing show expands from European Trade and Exhibition Services, and CMM arms now link up to Tebis scanning from Faro UK.
