Start with the news release Machining centres offer precise 5-axis milling from DMG (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "Latest additions to a range of precise, rigid, 5-axis horizontal machining centres now include two additional models for machining of smaller workpieces at high productivity rates". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release View latest sheet metal working developments from UCIMU: "Next year's Italian sheet metal working and manufacturing exhibition will feature a conference overviewing the latest trends research, technological development and innovation".
 
In July 2007, we covered the news from Renishaw concerning its EMO 2007 free tickets - take a look at Probe and sensor firm offers free EMO entry which says: "Europe's largest international machine tool exhibition takes place in September 2007, and a manufacturer of sensos, probes and scanning equipment is offering free entry tickets".
