‘Turning Centre’

A Manufacturingtalk guide

Start with the news release Unicut builds clean room and sub-assembly line from Unicut Precision, which we summarised at the time by saying "Unicut Precision has established a clean-room area as part of the expansion of its production facilities at Welwyn Garden City.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Makino machining centres cut titanium faster from NCMT: "Japanese machine-tool builder Makino has introduced the Makino T4 and T2 five-axis, high power, horizontal machining centres for machining components from titanium and its alloys.".

In July 2009, we covered the news from Clitheroe Light Engineering - take a look at Clitheroe plans further FMS extension which says: "Clitheroe Light Engineering, a Lancashire-based contract machinist, is planning to further extend its flexible manufacturing system (FMS) to increase capacity for general engineering contracts.".

Take a look also at the news release from DP Technology, DP to display Esprit CAM software at DMTS 2009, as well as Micro manufacturing event programme finalised from Rapid News Publications, and Messier-Dowty invests in WFL Millturn technology from Kyal Machine Tools.
