Start with the news release Makino machining centres cut titanium faster from NCMT, which we summarised at the time by saying "Japanese machine-tool builder Makino has introduced the Makino T4 and T2 five-axis, high power, horizontal machining centres for machining components from titanium and its alloys.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Clitheroe plans further FMS extension from Clitheroe Light Engineering: "Clitheroe Light Engineering, a Lancashire-based contract machinist, is planning to further extend its flexible manufacturing system (FMS) to increase capacity for general engineering contracts.".
 
In July 2009, we covered the news from DP Technology - take a look at DP to display Esprit CAM software at DMTS 2009 which says: "The latest version of the Esprit CAM software created by DP Technology will be on display at the Difficult Manufacturing Technology Show (DMTS) on 2-4 July in Nagoya, Japan.".
