Start with the news release Friction welder has angular orientation device from Thompson Friction Welding, which we summarised at the time by saying "An innovative electronic-based angular orientation device that ensures two parts are accurately aligned in the chuck is used in a double-ended friction welder to produce truck axles". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Vehicle body hemming firm expands production from DV Automation: "A UK specialist manufacturer of hemming closure systems and equipment for vehicle bodies has opened a 2000ft2 production facility - double the previous factory size, said the company".
